If you've found this that's a pretty special thing. Kind of like finding a message in a bottle cast out into the ocean uncertain if anyone will ever read it. Hello and welcome to the Coil blog. On November 19th we entered the 10th of 13 Imix Coils in the 2020 to 2024 Omega Coil. Each Omega Coil consists of 1521 days, representing the first 312 Fibonacci numbers and 13 iterations of the Imix Coil. The Imix Coil represents the first 24 numbers of the Fibonacci sequence. 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 4, 3, 7, 1, 8, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6, 4, 1, 5, 6, 2, 8, 1, 9 Each number in the Coil is given a corresponding period of days, 1 = 1 Day, 9 = 9 Days and so on. There are 117 days in an individual Coil. 1521 days in 13 iterations. Creating a period of 4.167 years, a period which connects the first day of any leap year to the leap day of the next. Something I discovered in the process of making the first Omega Coil Calendar when I chose January 1st 2020 as the first day. Today we're in the center of the first 5 day period in the 10th Coil of this series. I started reading the Mayan and Aztec calendars way back in the early 2000's. It's been a daily part of my experience for close to 20 years now. In 2011 I got more serious about it, by 2014 when I discovered the Imix Coil I'd been tracing synchronicities through the days for years. I called it the Imix Coil because I discovered it on 1 Imix, September 3rd of that year. Imix is the root, the first glyph, the primordial source of all manifest creation. It seemed a suitable name for what the Coil is. I had felt that there was something akin to Fibonacci in the nature of the Tzolkin, and it was that which turned my mind to the sequence. I had a love for numerology as well, and in numerology it's tradition to reduce any larger numbers to their combined sum, so I decided to do this with Fibonacci. This simple choice and sequence of events revealed the Coil to me. When at the 25th number Fibonacci began again, 1, 1 ... and would continue todo so at every 25th position into countable infinity. Only years later, after creating the calendar and discovering the connection to the leap year cycle would I realize that September 3rd was the first day Britain used the Gregorian (leap year) calendar, around the same time I would learn that 1 Imix was the traditional day when Day Keepers were initiated. Today we sit at 6 Muluc/Moon or Water in the trecena of Kan/Seed in the Tzol'k'in, the day before the 3 day peak period begins. While we reach the 12th day of the trecena of Akbal in the Dreamspell, 12 Ix/Jaguar. Ix Chel, the patron goddess of the Age of Aquarius, is represented in this combination, as she so often is and had been since the Omega Coil began. As Kan is the Seed, Akbal is like the shell that contains it. We're at a precipice of change. Tomorrow as Akbal ends Kan peaks, the seed breaking through its boundary into the as yet unknown. 12 is a tone of generational patterns, a spiritual transference of meaning from one generation to the next. While 6 is a tone of death and dissolution of material bonds. The combination is best represented by the little death of the caterpillar in its cocoon as it becomes what it was always meant to be. The warning, not every caterpillar becomes a butterfly, but every year, in divine alignment with the cosmos, many do. Ix is the Jaguar, a hunter but also a spiritual being and protector. Representing the Shaman or Priestess. There is a fulfillment of meaning, and purpose. Ix days and people can also be dangerous, when that raw and predatory power rules a persons being. Sometimes Ix people may not even know it themselves until it's gotten the best of them, or someone else. It's always good to beware of the hidden enemy on Ix days, even when that enemy is oneself. Muluc is the Water and the Moon, ruling memory and emotion. We often dismiss the Moon's power over our lives, and its place in determining natural order; and yet more than just the tides, it rules the ovulation cycles that decide what eggs may be fertilized, which is to say it rules who is born and who is not, forming the shape and character to humanity itself. On Muluc days this hidden force of natural order moves us more profoundly. As the 6th day of Kan, Muluc represents the alignment of that which is within, with that which is outside of us. Moving us from the unknown to the known, readying us to fulfill our destiny. ~
