Today I celebrate both my Celtic roots and my role as a day keeper as the Tzolkin, the Dreamspell, the Haab, and Imbolic, the Celtic festival celebrating the mid point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, align in a beautiful and profound cosmic harmony.
Today is the 7th day of the Time of Planting in the Haab 7 Pax, aligning with the center of the trecena of the Reed in the Tzolkin 7 Cauac/Storm, while it's the 13th day of Eb, the Road of Destiny in the Dreamspell, 13 Kan/Seed. Imbolic means "In the belly of the mother" representing the seeds beginning to stir in the earth as we head towards the spring. Cauac and Ben, the Storm and the Reed, are feminine signs. 7 the perfect center of the 13 day trecena, representing an opening for spirit, a turning point between the beginning and the end of a cycle. 7 Storm can be considered the eye of the storm, a point of calm amid what feels like chaos, yet represents perfect divine order. Traditionally the trecena to the Aztec's was ruled by Chalchiuhtlicue, She of the Jade Skirt, the goddess of the oceans and of child birth. While the day is ruled by the Sun God Tonatiuh who's face we see in the center of the Aztec Sun Dial. Here the sacred feminine and masculine come together to give life. This isn't the only time in the respective cultures of ancient Mesoamerica and the Celts where our sacred celebrations are shared, with Samhain and the Day of the Dead also over lapping. These natural cycles emerging from creation show us a connection that transcends the veils of the 3D and evokes that which is greater, something of creation itself. In the Imix Coil which began on January 1st 2024 today is the 5th day of the first 7 day period in the Coil. While it's the perfect center of the last 5 day period in the Omega Coil that began in 2020 and ends on February 29th 2024. The divine reaches out to us, planting seeds of consciousness within us. Drawing us out of our shells, into life, into nature. Moments like this reverberate with sacredness. May those vibrations reach into our hearts and carry us home. ~ S ~
